Agreement and operator

AasaanShare is operated in New Zealand by Ashish Ansurkar. In these terms, "AasaanShare", "we", and "us" refer to Ashish Ansurkar operating the AasaanShare service. By creating an account, purchasing or using an Album Credit, uploading or contributing content, accepting an invitation, or otherwise accessing the service, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Statement. If you do not agree, do not use AasaanShare.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, accept an invitation, purchase credits, or use AasaanShare. If you use the service for another person or organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for them.

Accounts, devices, and invitations

You are responsible for activity performed through your account and authorized devices. Keep sign-in links, verification codes, invitation links, and device credentials confidential. Tell us promptly if you believe an account, invitation, or device has been compromised. An album owner is responsible for choosing invited people and configuring their viewing, download, and contribution permissions.

Album Credits and checkout

One Album Credit activates one album for 30 days, with up to 300 photos and videos and up to 25 GB of retained album storage. Creating, editing, or deleting an unshared draft does not use an Album Credit. One credit is used when the owner confirms sharing and activates the album. Editing an activated album does not use another credit, and removing it early does not restore the used credit. Verified owners receive one signup credit. Paid credits are sold as one-time packs through the authenticated website, remain on the account until used, and are not transferable.

Prices, currency, taxes, and the number of credits are shown before payment. Stripe processes checkout. AasaanShare adds credits only after receiving a verified payment event. We may correct duplicate, reversed, fraudulent, or mistakenly issued credits. Nothing in these terms limits any refund, remedy, or other right you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, Fair Trading Act 1986, or another law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Your content and the licence needed to operate the service

You retain ownership of content you upload or contribute. You grant AasaanShare and its service providers a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, limited licence to copy, upload, store, transcode, create display renditions and thumbnails from, transmit, and display that content solely as needed to operate, secure, and support your albums. This licence ends when our retained copy is deleted, except for temporary caches and records we must retain by law.

You must have the rights and permissions needed to upload and share the content and to provide invited people's names and email addresses. This includes respecting copyright, privacy, confidentiality, publicity, and consent rights. Contributors retain ownership of their contributions but acknowledge that the album owner controls the album and may remove content, revoke access, or remove the album.

Acceptable use

You must not use AasaanShare to upload, request, store, share, or promote content or activity that is unlawful, fraudulent, threatening, harassing, hateful, violent, privacy-invasive, defamatory, or deceptive; infringes intellectual-property or other rights; contains malware or attempts to disrupt, probe, bypass, or overload the service; facilitates spam or unauthorized access; depicts or facilitates child sexual exploitation; or contains non-consensual intimate imagery.

Do not attempt to access another person's account or album without authorization, defeat access or storage limits, scrape private content, reverse engineer security controls except where law expressly permits it, or use the service to identify, track, or harm another person.

Reports, removal, and enforcement

Private albums are not routinely pre-screened. We may use technical security controls and investigate reports, but we do not promise to monitor every album. We may reject uploads, revoke invitations, restrict features, suspend accounts, remove content, preserve evidence, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect people or the service, enforce these terms, respond to legal process, or address suspected unlawful activity. Where appropriate and lawful, we will try to explain the action.

Report suspected abuse, unlawful content, copyright or privacy infringement, or a security issue to hello@aasaanshare.com. We may report apparent criminal activity or serious threats to an appropriate authority when required by law or reasonably necessary to prevent harm.

Temporary hosting and service limits

Album media is temporary and AasaanShare is not a backup service. Keep your own copy of anything important. Uploads may be rejected or paused when an album or file exceeds the applicable photo, video, file-size, or storage limit. An album becomes available only after its media has finished uploading and processing.

Expiry and recovery

Applying another credit before an album expires extends access by 30 days after its current expiry. During the 72-hour recovery window after expiry, an owner may apply one credit to restore access. When that window ends without renewal, scheduled cleanup removes retained media. AasaanShare is not a backup service.

Downloads and copies made by other people

An album may remain available while the owner's device is offline. Expiry, removal, or revocation prevents new authorized access, although short-lived delivery caches may take time to clear. AasaanShare cannot prevent an authorized person from downloading, copying, taking a screenshot or screen recording, or otherwise retaining content while access is active, and cannot erase those copies later. You are responsible for deciding whom to trust and which permissions to grant.

Transactional communications

We send account, verification, payment, security, and invitation communications needed to provide the service. If you enable mobile notifications, we may also send album-sharing, update, contribution, expiry, and deletion warnings. These are service communications rather than marketing. You can disable push notifications in your device settings, but deadlines still apply even if a notification is delayed, unavailable, or disabled.

Beta availability and changes to the service

AasaanShare is evolving and may contain errors or experience interruptions, maintenance, upload failures, delayed notifications, or unsuccessful cleanup attempts. We use reasonable care and will retry or correct operational failures where practicable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, successful delivery to every device, or recovery of content.

We may change features, technical requirements, or limits when reasonably necessary for security, reliability, legal compliance, or product development. We will not intentionally shorten an already activated album's stated access period except where required to address unlawful use, abuse, security risk, or legal obligations. If we discontinue the service, we will provide reasonable notice where practicable.

Privacy

Our Privacy Statement explains how AasaanShare collects, uses, discloses, protects, and retains personal information. Album owners should make sure invited people understand that their name and email address will be provided to AasaanShare for invitation and access purposes.

AasaanShare property

These terms do not transfer ownership of the AasaanShare application, website, software, designs, branding, documentation, or other service materials. You may use those materials only as necessary to use the service in accordance with these terms.

Feedback

We may use feedback you provide to improve AasaanShare without obligation. Please do not send private media, invitation links, sign-in links, passwords, or device credentials in feedback.

Account closure and termination

You may ask us to close your account by emailing hello@aasaanshare.com. Before completing a closure request, we may explain the effect on active albums, unused credits, invited people, and records that must be retained. Provisions that by their nature continue after closure—including ownership, payment records, enforcement, liability, and governing-law provisions—remain effective.

Consumer rights, disclaimers, and responsibility

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies a guarantee, right, remedy, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where the Consumer Guarantees Act applies, AasaanShare's services come with the guarantees and remedies provided by that Act.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AasaanShare is not responsible for loss caused by your failure to keep a copy of media, permissions you grant, conduct by invited people, copies retained outside AasaanShare, unsupported devices or files, third-party platform outages, or events outside our reasonable control. This does not limit responsibility to the extent a loss is caused by our failure to exercise reasonable care and skill or where the law provides otherwise.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the beta, providers, or legal requirements evolve. We will publish the revised terms with a new date and provide reasonable additional notice of material changes. Changes do not apply retroactively. If you continue using AasaanShare after revised terms take effect, you agree to the revised terms.

New Zealand law and contact

These terms are governed by New Zealand law. New Zealand courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction, which means applicable consumer law may still let you bring a claim elsewhere.
